      Visit whitehouse.gov.

      Click on the blue "Get emails" link in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

      Enter your email address and zip code in the form.

      Click on the "Get Updates" button on the right side of the form. You should see "Thank You" in the white space. This verifies the email is now on President Obama's list. The email updates should begin immediately. As of 2011 the emails included a photo of the day, Obama's schedule for the day, and highlights from the White House blog.

Tips & Warnings

  • You should expect to receive updates from President Barack Obama or a member of his White House staff every couple of weeks or so. However, if there is a major piece of legislation he is trying to push, expect to receive emails more often.
