Step 1
Have an idea of what style you're after. Go shopping with a friend or partner who can advise you on what looks good on you. Designer sunglasses will tend to give you better quality frames although not always the best lenses.
-
Step 2
Choose a sports frame if you're going to cycle, fish, play golf or other sports. Polarized lenses will help cut down glare, particularly on water.
-
Step 3
Make sure your sunglasses provide 100% UVA and UVB protection. Try and choose frames that closely wrap to your face to prevent UV light reaching your eyes.
-
Step 4
Make a note of the brand, model number, size if they have it, and price.
If you don't need your sunglasses for a couple of weeks, go home! If not, shop around at the mall to get the best price. -
Step 5
If you haven't bought your sunglasses at the mall, but you know what you want, search online for your brand and model number using Google. You should find your frames at a big discount to the store. Make sure the online store is reputable and has a solid returns policy.
