Shave Legs Without Shaving Cream
Shave Legs Without Shaving Cream

I have severe chemical allergies that put a damper on shaving my legs. So I experimented with some things and found a way to shave without using shaving cream. This is cheap, most of the ingredients are in your home, and semi-chemical free!!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • olive oil; coconut oil
  • razor
  • bubble bath -or- (California baby shampoo & body wash)
  1. Step 1

First I moisturize my legs with olive oil, or coconut oil before I shave them. Rub the oil into your legs about 15-20 minutes before you shave.

  2. Step 2

Hop in the shower and let the hot water soak into your legs. (To exfoliate your legs see my article on, "How to make a natural sugar scrub." This is a great thing to do before you start shaving to get rid of excess skin build up.) Than at the end of your shower start to shave. I use a chemical-free California Baby shampoo & body wash bubble bath that I lather on pretty thick. Than I start at my ankle and shave upward in straight lines, no jagged

  3. Step 3

When you get out of the shower dab with a towel, don't rub. Than I moisturize with more olive oil, or coconut oil and let set on my legs 15 minutes before I head out for the day. Sexy, shiny, and smooth legs.

Tips & Warnings
  • A good razor is important in all of this. Experiment and find one that works for you and your particular skin needs.
  • Read my," How to Make a Natural sugar scrub," for more helpful hints. You can use this in step 2 before you shave. Than afterwards continue on to step 3 and moisturize.
  • Any bubble bath seems to work I use the California Baby to avoid chemicals and fragrances. If you are not bothered by these things than use anything you have around. I have tried in the past Johnson & Johnson, Bath & Body, or Victoria Secret bubble baths and they all worked well.
