Here is a super quick way to make a bridle for a doll's horse.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 piece of felt
  • hot glue gun and glue
  • scissors
  • toy horse
  • embellishments (optional)
  1. Step 1

Cut the piece of felt into strips that are about 1/8 to 1/4 inch wide. Width will depend on the size of the doll's horse and your preference.

  2. Step 2

Place one strip of felt around the nose of the horse leaving a little extra space so it can easily be slipped on and off. Cut the strip so that there is about a 1/4 inch overlap. With the hot glue gun set on a lower temperature, glue the strip into a ring and carefully press together. Pull off any loose glue strings.

  3. Step 3

Place a strip of felt around the horse's head going over the forehead and under the head near the neck. Again, leave a little room. Cut the strip with a 1/4 overlap and glue into a ring.

  4. Step 4

Place a strip of felt behind the horse's ears and cut the strip so that it will be long enough to glue it to the nose-band. Test to see if it will slip over the horse's ears. Mark the place on the two rings where this connecting strip should be glued and then glue into place. Remember to press the pieces together so it is not so bulky and to remove the glue strings.

  5. Step 5

Glue the ends of two strips to the side of the nose piece for reins. You are finished! If you like, you can decorate with sequins, buttons or glitter.

Tips & Warnings
  • Felt is cheap about thirty cents a sheet, so when the bridle gets broken, just make a new one.
  • Be very careful with the hot glue gun. Sometimes it is necessary to use your fingers to get this small project together, so be sure to set the glue gun on a lower temperature.
