Just a good ol' Recipe to make a Brisket sandwich.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Roasting Pan
  • Estimated Total Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Approx. Cook Time: 4 hours
  • 5 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 large cloves garlic sliced and peeled
  • 2 large, sliced, sweet onions
  • 12 ounces chili sauce
  • 1 package of dry onion soup mix
  • 12 ounces stout beer
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 12 buns buns
  1. Step 1

Heat your oven up to 350 degrees.

  2. Step 2

Spray your roasting pan with Pam cooking spray and place brisket in roasting pan. Cut a lot of slits into brisket and put the sliced garlic into those slits. Cover the top of the brisket with the sliced onions and the chili sauce.

  3. Step 3

Get a bowl, mix the dried onion soup and beer together. Then, carefully pour the chili sauce over it and add the water to roasting pan.

  4. Step 4

After that, bake for 3 1/2 hours uncovered. Check your brisket after about 2 1/2 hours of cooking. If the brisket appears to be darkening a little too much, then cover it with foil for the last 45 minutes or so of baking.

  5. Step 5

Slice the brisket and serve it on a bun. This will feed about 6 people, if you like to eat like I do. :)
