Brush those Problems Away!Next tip..run a basin of warm water and add a couple of tablespoons of baking soda to it. The soda will cut the oil and grease which builds up. Rinse well and wash additionally with the same shampoo you use to wash your hair or baby shampoo. Rinse and let dry on a towel.

You can use plain old household ammonia to clean combs and brushes. Take a mixture of six parts water to one part ammonia. Let brushes and combs soak, then rinse thoroughly. Again, let dry on a towel.

Now this one is the hardest to believe ... Sprinkle cornmeal on the brush bristles and comb thru. Wash the cornmeal out with baby shampoo and rinse. You can add some alum to your rinse water to stiffen the bristles again. Keep on cleaning...
