• SmartCodeStudioCommunityEdition.com
• VisualLabels.com
• StonyCreekWinePress.com
• WineOrganizerDeluxe.com
There are also wine label creation websites that provide a template, you add text, and print.
• FreeLabelmaker.com
• Print Artist Platinum Plus.com -
Step 2
Make Wine Labels
• Open the software program for making labels for your wine bottles.
• Decide on the layout you want for your wine label.
• Choose the font for the label. Make sure it is readable and the text can include wine content, serving size, ingredients and vintage year.
• Take a photograph to include on the label. Ideas include your wine cellar, your house, or the bottle of wine staged with grapes or other items representing a winery. If the wine will be a gift, take a picture of that person’s house to personalize the wine label.
• When the design is complete save it on your computer. -
Step 3
Wine Label Printing
• Print a sample label on a plain sheet of paper. This will give you a chance to view it, cut it out to see how it looks on the bottle, and check for any typos.
• Load the label paper into the printer.
• Select print and then select ‘Properties’.
• Ensure that you choose ‘photo printing’ on the ‘printing shortcut’ tab. Go through each tab and select the correct orientation, size paper, etc. On the ‘Finishing’ tab click on ‘show preview’ box.
• Select ‘ok’ on the print screen and wait for the preview.
• Print -
Step 4
Wine Label Finishing Touches
• When the ink is dry spray it with a waterproof sealer.
• Remove the back paper to reveal the adhesive back and place the wine label onto the bottle.
• For non-adhesive paper place a small amount of glue on the back side and place on bottle. Do not use a lot of glue or it will bleed through the label.
• If you want to preserve the label after the wine is gone spray the label with hairspray, on both sides. Use rubber cement as the glue. To remove the label fill the bottle with hot water, let is sit for a few minutes, and peel off the label.
