Find the correct ram for your computer.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • internet connection
  1. Step 1

The steps are so simple. I have used this for all my computers.

  2. Step 2

All you have to do is go to Crucial.com and click on their computer scan tool they have on their site to find out exactly what type of ram your computer needs.

  3. Step 3

It may take a minute or two but it will scan your mother board and come back with all the options available for your computer. This information tells you how many slots you have and how many are already inserted. It also tells you how much ram you have and how much your computer will hold and use efficiently

  4. Step 4

You then have the option of buying what they are saying you need and what they recommend. I personally write down their choices and do my own research on other sites to find the best price I can buy them for. This is safe and efficient. I have gone to EBay to buy some of the ram and other times I buy theirs. I highly recommend them and their scanning tool to help with your ram needs to be sure you have it right.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't forget it's crucial.com
  • As always be careful installing ram.
