In those dog days of summer it can really get hot. You might even venture to a local ice cream parlor for a delightful treat just to keep cool. Hey, there is another way in beating the heat and saving money. Yes, that's right! An ice cream parlor right in the luxury of your home. I am going to share with you on how to make a delightful cookie treat. Are you ready to cool off? Well, lets get started!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Rolls of Cookie Dough
  • Sheet pan
  • vanilla Ice cream
  • Oven
  • Plate
  • Ice Cream Scooper
  1. Step 1

First, you will need to get 2 rolls of your favorite frozen cookie dough. I prefer chocolate chips and peanut butter.

  2. Step 2

You will need a half of gallon of vanilla ice cream (any brand).

  3. Step 3

Cut your cookie dough into several thick slices (follow the given instructions on how to bake it on the wrapper). Place the thick slices on a sheet pan and spread them out (no more than 4 when using a large sheet pan). The dough will need to spread out when baking (give it space for this to happen).

  4. Step 4

After the cookies are lightly brown remove from oven and let it cool for 3 minutes.

  5. Step 5

Next, lift the baked cookies from the sheet pan with a spatula and place them on a plate. The key is to have as many cookies made to form sandwiches.

  6. Step 6

Lay out your baked cookies , and scoop out some ice cream by placing it on a single cookie.

  7. Step 7

Place another cookie on top of the cookie(s) that you placed ice cream on and press down lightly. Now, you are ready to eat!

Tips & Warnings
  • You make create as many layers to your ice cream sandwich as your heart desires!
