This is a simple article designed to help you change your eating habits so you can lose that unwanted weight starting today. I followed this plan and lost between 40-50 pounds over the course of 5 months.

  1. Step 1

    The first thing we need to so is set up a schedule of what we are going to eat. The guidelines that I followed was 2 Protein Servings each day, 2 carbs each day, 3 fruit servings each day, and 3 vegetable servings each day. I supplemented the meals with 2 protein shakes or protein bars each day as snacks. I spread the food out throughout three meals a day.

  2. Step 2

    The type of protein that was recommended for losing weight is lean protein with low in salt content. Good examples of this are fish, seafood, turkey, chicken, and lean beef products. I was told to stay away from pork products and lunch meats as they are high in salt and salt makes your body retain fat and water.

  3. Step 3

    When it came to vegetables I ate anything raw or cooked except for corn and carrots. Corn and carrots are very high in sugar and are a bad thing for your body if you are trying to lose weight.

  4. Step 4

    When it comes to fruit, I followed the daily recommended daily serving size each day for my meals. I tried to consume all my fruit before 6pm so my body had time to burn off all the sugar from it.

  5. Step 5

    Most important is the carbohydrates each day. You need to make sure to only eat 2 servings of complex carbs each day. A complex carb is anything whole grain. A simple rule of eating carbs is: if it is white, it is sugar. A white bread or white potato turns instantly into simple sugar when it hits your body. Some examples of complex carbs of what to eat are whole grain bread, red potato, sweet potato, brown rice, and whole grain pita pockets. If the first ingredient is "whole ......" then it is good to eat, but eat only the recommended one serving size.

  6. Step 6

    Now we need to make sure to get on a good daily vitamin program. The one I took was a complete multi-vitamin recommended by my doctor called Ultra Vitality Nutrapack available on this website www.symmetrydirect.com/TBLUHM . It came in either a drink mix or a pill form. I believe it gave me more energy and stamina and helped my body burn fat more efficiently.

  7. Step 7

    The last thing to do is make sure to drink a lot of water. Water flushes the fat and waste out of our bodies. I drank at least 8 glasses of water daily while losing the fat.

  8. Step 8

    Following this eating plan I lost 10 pounds within 2 weeks time and continued to lose at a consistent pace the months following.
