Step 1
Research local dairies and family farms in your general area. Often,a small raw milk operation will deliver milk to the nearby town, either at a central location or making stops in several neighborhoods. Offer to host a drop point and you could receive your own milk home delivery each week.
-
Step 2
Find out if there are any specialty milk deliveries in your metro area. Hey, Milkman!, for example, is a Baltimore-area milk delivery service providing milk, yogurt, eggs and gourmet cheeses to its customers, who order their products online.
-
Step 3
Look for raw milk and organic milk sources through the Real Milk Foundation and the Weston A. Price Foundation chapter in your area. Both have helpful website listings of contacts in every state that can connect you with quality milk products -- maybe even some for home delivery.
-
Step 4
Consider getting your milk home delivery via a package delivery service. Organic Pastures, a raw milk dairy located in California, delivers its milk products all over the country with the help of overnight mail services and dry ice. It might be expensive, but their milk has a reputation for excellent quality and freshness.

on 10/12/2009 Before we moved to the city, we used to get raw milk from one of my friends who's family owned a dairy. We made ice cream and whipped cream from the cream that rose to the top and used the rest like regular store bought whole milk. Even without the cream mixed in, it tasted better than store bought whole milk! I am going to look into home delivery milk ASAP!
