Step 1
Draw a diagram on paper detailing how you will arrange the jewels on the collar. Doing this will prevent you from making any mistakes once you start to apply them. Make sure to do this with a pencil so that you can make changes along the way if you need to.
-
Step 2
Sort the plastic craft jewels according to size, shape, and color. Arrange them like this so that they are easier to find. Another benefit of arranging them like this is that you'll be aware of the number of each color that remain as you apply them.
-
Step 3
Open your glue and begin to affix them to the dog collar according to your design. Reference the design you created as many times as you need to in order to make sure that your collar turns out well.
-
Step 4
Be careful not to use too much glue. When you're using superglue a very small dab will do just fine to affix each jewel. You don't want it to squirt out from under the jewel ruining the look of the collar, or bleed through creating a scratchy underside for your dog.
-
Step 5
Give it ample time to dry before you place the collar back on your dog. Even though superglue dries quickly, sometimes in certain atmospheric conditions it can take a little longer. Check it thoroughly to make sure that all of the glue has cured properly, and that there are no loose jewels that your dog could accidentally consume.
