Shrimp with pasta and Parmesan cheese is a quick and easy meal for your family to enjoy. This recipe takes the work out a big meal. Use either fully-cooked shrimp that just need heating through, or use shrimp meat, as it's also fully cooked and relatively inexpensive. Cook the sauce when you put the pasta in to boil to have a dish that's fully ready to eat in less than 30 minutes. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Pasta
  • 1/4 stick butter
  • 1/2 pound shrimp
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Large pot
  • Water
  • Saucepan
  • Colander
  • Large bowl

Instructions

      Place a large pot of salted water on the stove over high heat. Add the pasta once the water is at a rolling boil.

      Melt a 1/4 stick of butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

      Add the frozen shrimp (or canned shrimp, drained, if you prefer) once the butter melts. Saute the shrimp until warmed through, about 5 minutes.

      Test the pasta. If it has a slight bite to it, drain it in a colander and add it to a large bowl.

      Pour the butter and shrimp over the cooked pasta. Mix everything well until the pasta is lightly coated.

      Add 1/4 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning. Add more if you prefer a strong garlic flavor. Toss well.

      Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the pasta and serve immediately.
