BE AVAILABLE & WILLING TO HELP: Sometimes when a close friend is grieving the loss of someone, they do not know who to turn to, so be there for your friend, call them and let them know you are there for them any time of the day. Visit them when the time is right and be open to anything they need to tell you.

BRING THEM SOMETHING TO EAT: Usually when a friend is mourning, they will forget to eat and nourish their bodies, so bring them their favorite dish or dessert in hopes that they will eat and refreshen their minds.

RE-ASSURE THEM ABOUT THE WONDERS OF LIFE: Sometimes when someone close to us passes away we think the whole world is caving in on us and there's nothing else to live for. Therefore, be the friend who will reassure them that everything in this world is still growing and moving and that their pain will pass. For life is full of wonders and happiness if we will only open our eyes and appreciate what we still have. Bring your friend on a nature walk or a picnic at a nice park, this can help ease the pain a little when they are outside and the sun is shining.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not feel offended if these tips do not work or if your friend chooses not to pick up your phone calls.
  • Be open and lend a helping hand whenever you can.
  • Do not force anything upon your friend unless it for the sake of their health and/or well-being.
