Make Greek Chicken and Potatoes in the Crockpot

Greek chicken and potatoes always tastes so delicious. Unfortunately, it can be very time consuming to make. This recipe will show you how to make Greek chicken and potatoes in the crockpot. It's quick to put together, and when you get home, it's delicious!

You would never know that this Greek dish came from a crockpot. It tastes like you spent the better part of the day roasting it.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Crockpot
  • water
  • oregano
  • lemon pepper seasoning
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic
  • fresh lemon juice
  • 1 large onion quartered
  • bone in chicken pieced (drumsticks work well)
  • Potatoes
  • olive oil
  1. Step 1

Quarter the potatoes and place them on the bottom of the crockpot.

  2. Step 2

Layer the chicken pieces over the potatoes. Place the onion quarters around the chicken.

  3. Step 3

In a bowl, mix approximately 1 cup of water with salt, pepper, lemon pepper seasoning, lemon juice and oregano to taste. Pour this over everything in the pot.

  4. Step 4

If desired, drizzle a little olive oil over the chicken and potatoes so that they get crisp.

  5. Step 5

Cook on high for about four hours or until the potatoes are soft and the chicken is cooked through.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't be nervous about the small amount of water. I know most crocpot recipes call for much more. Using a little bit of water ensures that it will have a "roast chicken" texture.
