How to Properly Wash a Chenille Blanket

Do you love your chenille blanket? Are you unsure if you can wash it? Well this article will provide you with the proper steps of how to wash the chenille blanket in a washing machine while maintaining its original composure.

• Forever New fabric wash
• Washing Machine
• Cold water

1. First you should always wash the chenille blanket by itself because it will shed immensely.

2. Second always use cold water and always wash on the delicate cycle. Using any higher of an agitation will cause the fabric to unravel.

   Use a delicate fabric detergent. I recommend Forever New because it is natural and it will not leave any soapy residue on your blanket. However, any mild detergent would be safe to use.

4. Never tumble dry your blanket because the agitation of it will cause it to unravel! To air dry it you should spread out the blanket either flat down or over a clothes line. You should not pull at the blanket harshly or it will become unwoven.

• Always use cold water and always be sure to set it on the delicate cycle.
• Use a mild detergent
• Never tumble dry.
• Only wash the blanket as needed. The more the item gets washed the thinner it will become.
