Things You'll Need:
- 1, 8-9 inch cut piece of recycled oxygen tubing
- 1 piece of glitter green chenille stem
- 1 glass bottle charm, approximately 1 inch in length
- beach sand and a few very tiny shells (shells are optional
- gold cording for hanger
- 1 recycled drink pouch straw (clear colored is best)
- tacky glue
- scissors
- Christmas themed ribbon, 3/8th inch wide, 12 inches or so long
-
Step 1
Gently push your shimmering green chenille stem into the center of the clear recycled oxygen tubing. You may only be able to get about 8 inches into your tubing. Simply cut to fit.
-
Step 2
Cut a 1 inch piece of you recycled straw (or less). Dab glue onto it and gently push into each end of the tubing, connecting them. If your tubing does not hold, simply use a clothespin to hold until glue dries.
-
Step 3
Pull the cork out of the glass bottle charm and fill with sand and shells. Place the cork back inside the bottle and to secure it, dab the cork with glue first.
-
Step 4
Cut a piece of cording (8-10 inches in length). Run it through the eye hook on the top of the glass bottle cork, and then around the tubing. Knot the cording around the tubing where the straw is inserted. Knot the top of your two cording ends for the hanger.
-
Step 5
Cut a 12 inch piece of your Christmas themed ribbon and tie it around the base of the hanger. Dab the backside of it with tacky glue to secure, and tie a bow.
Allow all glue to dry completely. Enjoy your new Christmas ornament!
