Then if you can find the liquid form at your local health store or drugstore you can drop a few drops into the ear every 4 hours. If you can not obtain these items you can also you olive oil. You warm the olive oil and apply only to the outside of the ear. You do not have to take any by mouth. This will only help with the pain it will not cure the earache.

3. The best think you can do when you have a cold or earache is to avoid products belonging to the milk food group. These items produce mucus. You can also grate a carrot or onion and heat them until warm and place in a piece of cheese cloth and place onto of the ear for 10 minutes or more. This is to pull the infection out of the ear. Again these are temporary fixes until you can reach your family doctor.
