Most people are trying to make money online, but don't know the very basics about e-commerce websites. If you follow these thorough steps you can have your website up and running in no time with a bunch of products.

   First you need to get products. I prefer getting products without investing a whole bunch of my own money. I suggest that you drop-ship your products in order not to dip your own money in your project. Wholesale is another way to go, but there are more disadvantages taking this approach.

   Contact companies that make the products that you are interested in selling (this is honestly the hardest step). Some will ask you for a reseller's Certificate number or a business license.

   Once you have your product create an ecrater's account. This is the best option because you automatically have google check out for payment options and the website store is really easy to manage.

   Once your site is created add categories that make it easy for your customers to shop on your site.

   (Most Important Step) Lastly, people need to be able to find your site (found in the edit text section of the website ). That's why you must work on your Meta-tags, Meta-Keywords, and Meta-descriptions. You must make them unique in order for your website to stick out amongst all the other competition out there.    Once your website is up and running wait for customers, it may take a few months before it even gets to the top page of google, so be patient.
