How to Remove Dog or Cat urine from you carpet

Here is a simple way to remove dog or cat urine from your carpets. This is a beneficial tool when trying to potty train your cat or dog.

Things You'll Need:

• salt
• pet odor eliminator
• Vacuum cleaner

1. Purchase standard any table salt and an odor eliminator of your choice. The table salt can be any brand, I usually use the generic because it's cheaper and when training my pets, I use a lot of salt.

2. Apply the salt to your urine soiled area. Use enough salt to completely absorb the urine. This will not work if the area has already dried.

3. Wait 30 minutes to 1 hour before vacuuming the salted area. This will allow enough time for the salt to completely absorb the urine.

4. Once area is completely vacuumed apply a pet odor eliminator according to the manufacturers instruction. You can usually find pet odor eliminators in any pet store, as well as grocery and discount stores.

Tips & Warnings

• Once salt is applied if you notice some areas are darker add extra salt to the darker areas to make sure all urine is absorbed.
• I find it more effective to use my vacuum's hose attachments when vacuuming the salted area.
• Make sure the salt is completely dry before vacuuming.
• You may want to test an area of your carpet before applying the pet odor eliminator.
