1. When you initially role, keep as few dice as possible unless you have 3 dice of 3 or higher, just keep a 1 or if you have to a 5. If you have a straight or 3 pairs, always keep them. 3 1's is also a must keep.

2. Continue to roll. Keep only a 1 or if you have to a 5 unless you get 3 of a kind higher than a 3. As you get fewer dice, you have to average the risk with the reward. I go by this theory, 1 dice left and 500 or over, keep my score. Less than 500 points, roll again. 2 dice left, 700 or over. 3 dice left, 900 or over. Always roll on 4 unless you have a monster number like 3000.

3. The plan is to take more rolls to increase the odds of getting 3 or more 1's or a higher roll. You also want to maximize the odds of getting to roll the whole thing again. You will farkle more often but have higher scores when you keep your score. One 2000 point roll will beat three 400 point rolls everytime.

Tips & Warnings

• If you farkle two times in a row, you may want to modify the rule so you don't lose 500 points for three farkles in a row.
