Things You'll Need:
- computer with internet access
- time
- money

Step 1
The only way you can hope to eat cheaply at Disney World is if you plan ahead. Simply "showing up" will guarantee you spend more than you wanted to. So implement this process several weeks before your trip.
-
Step 2
Forewarned is forearmed, so do a little research and find out what food will cost you at Disney World. There's a great section at allears.net devoted to Disney dining - it lists every restaurant in Disney World, with menus and prices. Log on and get the sticker shock over with now.
-
Step 3
If you want to eat cheaply at Disney World, plan to eat counter service meals instead of table service. If you want to sample a Disney table service restaurant, eat there for lunch instead of dinner, when prices are cheaper for the same meal. Or eat a late character breakfast and skip lunch.
-
Step 4
Browsing the Disney menus ahead of time will allow you to see where you can get the best value for your money. At some places, you may be able to share a meal between two people. Or, you may find a restaurant with an appealing item on the kids' menu - at counter service restaurants, there's no reason an adult can't order a kids' meal.
-
Step 5
Disney will allow you to bring snacks into the parks, so bring in filling munchies, such as nuts or granola bars. You won't have to order so much at meal time if you're not starving, and you won't have to buy separate snacks.
-
Step 6
Plan not to buy any drinks if you're trying to eat cheaply at Disney World. Any counter service restaurant will give you a glass of ice water for free. You can bring tubes of drink mix for water bottles (Kool-Aid, Crystal Light or the like) and add them to your free water.

Step 7
Use the money you've saved to splurge on a Mickey Bar or a Dole Whip. You deserve it!
