How to Make Money Buying and Selling Video Games

Did you know that you can make money by buying and selling video games? It is a fairly simple concept. You have to buy the game for less, then sell it on Ebay for more. This seems ridiculous but it is very possible.

1. Do your research. You will need to find a list of games that are selling for decent prices on Ebay. I would say that anything selling for more than $30 is worth writing down. You will need to focus on older games. You will get more bang for your buck with them because they are collectibles.

2. Start shopping around at your local video game stores to find the games on your list. The trick is that most of your major chain video game stores have standard prices for trade-ins and used games. This works to your advantage. You will have a hard time finding some of the rare games on your list but when you do, you will be able to sell them for twice the price.

3. After you have bought your games, make sure that you only put them on Ebay when the price is right. Ebay works exactly like our economic system. There is supply and demand. You will have to decide when to sell your games when the price is higher. You can find this out by looking at what the same game is selling for by other sellers.

4. When you do decide to put the game on Ebay, make sure that you add a Buy it now feature. This will entice people to buy it before the competition drives the price too high. The trick is to set the buy it now price just slightly below what other items have sold for. This will take away the chance that the game will sell for much less.
