How to Clean Motorcycle Gloves
Motorcycle riders experience all types of weather conditions. Some enjoy riding in the rain and wind. Other bikers may ride dirt bikes in the mud and muck. Cleaning your motorcycle gloves is important to keep the gloves in excellent shape. In addition, leather gloves contain oils, which can dry out with prolonged exposure to rain or stuck-on mud. Clean the gloves after every ride in dirty conditions, or at least once a week. Does this Spark an idea?

Obtain leather foam or gel cleaner. Any product that softens leather, as well as conditions is useful. This includes Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather Foam or Kiwi Saddle Soap.

Use a quarter-size amount of cleaner on a dry soft rag. Dip into the jar or pour onto the cloth, depending on the product.

Place three fingers into the end of the glove. Wipe the rag over the motorcycle glove. Start on one side and gently rub into the leather with a circular motion. Clean both sides before the finger slots.

Wipe the cloth around each finger, starting from the base. Add more leather cleaner to the rag as necessary.

Place the motorcycle gloves in a cool location. Let them dry away from heat sources, including high temperatures and sunlight.

Tips & Warnings
Use powder on your hands each time you wear the gloves. This will keep the inside of the motorcycle gloves fresh and remove the stench from sweat.
Do not clean motorcycle gloves in a washing machine or with water. In addition, do not soak or clean with abrasive solutions. For example, do not use dish washing or laundry soap on the outside of the glove.
