How to Turn on Java for Comcast Internet

Comcast Internet is a service provider that uses cable modem connections for blazing internet connection speeds up to 100 Mbps. Once you have Comcast internet running, you can turn on Java scripting for your Internet Explorer web browser easily, much like using other Internet service providers. Turning on Java Scripting improves functionality, form validation and allows you to access objects within other applications. Once Java scripting is enabled, the websites will also display properly and efficiently.

Instructions

1. Click the Windows "Start" button and click the "Control Panel."

2. Double-click "Internet Options" and click the "Security" tab. The "Internet Options" window allows you to configure your browser settings when using Comcast Internet service.

3. Click "Custom Level" on the "Security" tab. Scroll down the newly opened "Custom Level" window to "Scripting." Select "Enabled" under "Scripting" to turn on Java.

4. Click "OK" to save the changes and click "OK" again to close the Internet Options.
