Save money on a book with this step by step guide. This article will show you several different ways to reduce or completely eliminate the money that you spend on buying a book.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Use the library.

Libraries completely eliminate the cost of purchasing a book. To read a book for free, look for the book you are considering to buy at a library. You can often hold or request books for a library if it's not available.

  2. Step 2

Buy the book used at a used bookstore or from a second hand seller online.

Used bookstores typically discount the books they sell. You can also look online for deep discounts at stores like amazon.com where they sell used books as well.

  3. Step 3

Consider sharing or splitting the cost of a book with friends.

Pass the book around and share the book with friends. This spreads the cost of the book among several people and will ultimately save you lots of money.

  4. Step 4

Finally, if you are not able to save money on the purchase of the book, consider reselling back the book.

Look at used bookstores that buy back books or sell the books through online vendors like amazon.com to regain some of your money.
