Things You'll Need:
- Time
- Thrift shops
- Flea Markets
- Vintage stores
-
Step 1
Christmas giftsWhen your extended family gets together on Thanksgiving, draw names. But with the names, every person has to put down three hobbies or interests--like favorite authors, photography, writing, golf, hunting, sports, TV shows, etc.
-
Step 2
Christmas giftsThen decide on the rules. Declare every gift has to be "vintage" or every gift has to be homemade. You know your family --everyone can be as creative as they want, but they have to stick to the "rules".
-
Step 3
Christmas giftsDecide on a ridiculous dollar amount. Like $18.36. Declare that the limit of what anyone can spend. Tell each family member they have to save receipts. The person coming the closest to the amount "wins". You, as a family can decide what the winner receives.
-
Step 4
Christmas morning host the reveal! Prepare for people to use their ingenuity to surprise the giftee! Everyone will enjoy the thoughtfulness that went behind the gifts And the laughter will be priceless.
