How to Make Money Online as a Teen (Under 18)
So you need some cash for the latest and greatest. The problem? You're under 18. If you're working, you aren't making much. The parents aren't giving you enough money. And you don't qualify for any of the money making opportunities out there!
Well, you do qualify for some. As long as you are 13 or older, you can still make some legitimate extra cash online.

1
Enlist an adult
Things will be a lot easier if you can enlist a parent or other 18+ year old to help you earn extra cash. Many unique online opportunities require a U.S. bank account, or an adult to be the primary holder. If you can do this, try helping the adult sell on eBay, complete ChaCha queries, or other typical earning opportunities.

Join a Survey Panel
If you can't enlist an adult, no worries - you can still make some cash. There are MANY market research firms that conduct business online, and they look specifically for teens - as long as you are 13 or older. Try SayNation, SurveySpot or WRInsiders, for a start.
There are many websites out there that list legit survey companies. Just check their terms of service - there are a LOT out there that need minors 13+.

Get paid to search
There are actual companies out there that will pay you to use their search engine. The catch? They'll put their sponsored results on the top. So, if you can read a whole page for what you want, instead of the first listing, you can make a few bucks. My favorite is Swagbucks. You still need to be 13 or older, because of an Internet Privacy Law.

Sell some stuff
If you are done with games or electronics, and it's OK with your parents, go ahead and drop some of that stuff on Craigslist. Your parents can help you safely meet with buyers, and you can pocket some cash!

Tips & Warnings
Whenever you investigate online earning opportunities - stay safe! Don't give out personal information to a non-reputable company, and never ever agree to meet someone alone.
