Instructions

    • 1
Prevent ringworm by washing your hands.

Wash your hands after handling animals, soil, and plants to prevent ringworm. You don't want any lingering germs on your fingers to get smeared onto your skin.

    • 2

To prevent ringworm, don't touch lesions on the faces of other people. You don't know where the person could have picked up such wounds and, for all you know, he/she could have the ringworm infection or some other type of disease.

    • 3
      Prevent ringworm with showers.

Practice good hygiene, including taking showers daily and wearing deodorant. If you're clean, you're less likely to pick up the ringworm skin disease. Your body will also appreciate that you're taking care of it.

Never share clothing, sports equipment, towels, or sheets if you want to prevent ringworm. You don't know what types of infections other people could have picked up. If you absolutely have to share something with someone else, make sure you know the person well.

    • 5
      Wear shoes to prevent ringworm.

Never walk barefoot, especially in public. Your feet can pick up loads of germs. Wear shoes or at least socks when you're roaming around.

    • 6

Change your socks and underwear at least once a day to prevent ringworm. You don't want to be wearing dirty undergarments, for this can breed ringworm infections.

    • 7
      Keep your skin dry.

Wipe your skin with a towel after you shower or take a bath. The ringworm skin disease loves damp places, so keep your skin dry.

    • 8

Take a shower after playing a sport or taking part in skin-to-skin contact. Having a shower can help rinse away any sweat or germs from your body to prevent any infections like the ringworm skin disease to spread.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you take care of your body, you're almost guaranteed not to acquire any infections.
