Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Moisturizing conditioner
  • hot oil treatment
  • leave in conditioner
  • SPF Shampoo
  • Sun protection
  • pony tail
  • vitamins
  • frizz ease
  1. Step 1

Use moisturizing conditioner ever time you shampoo your hair to help cure frizzy hair. It's best to use good quality shampoo and conditioner but if you are forced to scrimp on your shampoo and conditioner budget its best to purchase the best conditioner possible and a lesser quality shampoo. The conditioner is needed to nourish and moisturize your hair.

You should only shampoo your hair when its needed. Shampooing your hair daily will strop the natural oils and actually make your hair drier therefore causing more damage.

  2. Step 2

The next step is to use a hot oil treatment combined with a leave in conditioner this works great to cure frizzy hair. This should be done ever second wash for severely damaged hair or when first starting the treatments. Then slowly go to every three to four days once your hair starting to look less frizzy and healthier.

Make sure all products you use on your hair are for dry damaged hair. These tend to use fewer chemicals that will cause harm. You should also avoid coloring your hair until it is healthy. You should also avoid any chemical treatments to curl or straighten your hair until it is healthy and has been for some time.

  3. Step 3

As a precaution to cure frizzy hair you should have your hair trimmed on a regular basis. This will help eliminate the split ends that cause a lot of people's frizzy hair problems. Short hair tends to have less frizz because the hair is regularly trimmed to maintain the hairstyle. If you prefer long hair you should talk to your stylist about the amount of time needed between hair trimmings.

You should also look for a hairstyle that requires little or no heat. Things like curling irons, blow dryers, and electric hair straighteners will dry your hair out. When using these you should first protect your hair with a gel or mouse that will protect your hair form the heat damage you are creating.

  4. Step 4

    4. Wet hair usually leads to frizzy hair so make sure you are doing everything you can to keep your hair dry. Also really humid environments will cause your hair to frizz, to avoid the weather frizzy hair. This will help keep your hair from going completely wild.

You should also protect your hair from wind and sun damage. These will dry your hair out and cause it to frizz. If you are planning to stay in the sun all day you should consider a shampoo and conditioner with SPF (Sun Protection Factor) to help protect your hair from becoming dried out and frizzy. Remember the higher the setting the better!

  5. Step 5

As a final short term solution to cure frizzy hair you can purchase over the counter frizz products. These just mask the problem and give you temporary relief so don't count on them to do all the work for you. It only takes a little effort on your side to have great hair without frizz.

There are many products on the market designed to help reduce frizzy hair. Make sure you read the instructions carefully and choose the one that's right for your hair.

  6. Step 6

Vitamins and minerals can also be a good way to cure frizzy hair. Some to try are:
Water, protein, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin B5 or B8, Biotin, Lecithim, Silica, or Omega 3 fatty acids.
