Instructions

    • 1

Get out all the ingredients and a bucket with a lid.

    • 2

Pour the bucket half full of cracked corn.

    • 3

Open the box of corn starch, and pour the entire box of corn starch into the bucket with the cracked corn. With your hand, stir the cracked corn and corn starch well.

    • 4

Open the bottle of corn syrup, and pour the entire bottle of syrup into the bucket.

    • 5

Get a large stirring spoon and begin stirring. The mixture will be very thick and sticky, and will be difficult to stir.

    • 6

After stirring a bit with the spoon, begin rolling the mixture around with your hands, stirring and mixing. Do this until there is no more dry corn in the bucket and you can no longer see the corn starch.

    • 7

Once the bait has been mixed well enough that you can't see the corn starch, put the lid on the bucket and seal tight. This carp bait can be fished with right away or it will keep a long time, if you want to make it ahead of time and use it later. Carp love corn, and this bait will catch carp.

When you get ready to use the bait, put a couple of corn pops on your hook; get out a fist full of bait and place the hook with the corn pops on it in the middle of the bait, and pack a tight ball around the hook. This bait packs very hard, but breaks apart in the water in about five minutes.

Now you're ready to catch some carp.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can add flavor to the bait if you wish, but this bait will catch carp as is.

  • The bait will keep for extended periods and can be fished with until it's used up.
