Learn how much punch to make for your next party or gathering.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

If you are planning a shower, reception, open house or holiday party, you will need to determine how much punch to make.
    Remember your basic measurements:

    8 ounces = 1 cup
    4 cups = 1 quart
    4 quarts = 1 gallon
    1 gallon = 128 ounces

  2. Step 2

If you will be using a 6-ounce punch cup, then 1 gallon of punch will make approximately 21 servings. There will be more servings than that if you are using ice in the cups. Therefore, 3 gallons of punch will serve about 70.

  3. Step 3

Remember that many people will drink more than one serving especially if it is a warm day or evening.
It is always a good idea to have more than you think you will need.
If you are serving a cold punch, remember to have juices and ingredients well chilled.
