In this article you will learn how to make southern stew chicken.

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 packet of Lipton Onion Soup
  • Lawry's Seasoned Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Salt
  • Flour
  1. Step 1

    First wash and clean all six chicken drumsticks.

  2. Step 2

    Place chicken drumsticks in a large pot and fill with water until chicken is covered then place on stove on high.

  3. Step 3

    While the chicken is on the stove heating up add the following ingredients to the chicken 3tablespoons of Lawrys seasoning, two shakes of pepper, and three shakes of salt. Stir these ingredients with the chicken and water.

  4. Step 4

    Let boil for fifteen minutes. Watch carefully boiling sometimes causes pot to boil over at times.

  5. Step 5

    After about fifteen minutes of boiling add one entire packet of Lipton Onion Soup and stir. Continue boiling for another 20-30 minutes.

  6. Step 6

    When chicken looks tender and fully done turn on Medium and add two tablespoon of flour to thicken the stew. Stir flour in with chicken stew and let simmer for 5-10 min.

  7. Step 7

    Once the stew has thickened to your satisfaction it is ready to be served.
