Things You'll Need:
- open heart
-
Step 1
If you are selectively nice to others only if it serves you in some way, the first thing to do is to learn to be kind to all sentient beings.
This is the hardest step to learn and apply since it involves personal change.
You will need to acknowledge that by the grace of nature you are here and will remain here until a certain time. -
Step 2
Decide if you want to live your life as a predator or not. A predator is a self serving, selfish and injurious person. You do not have to physically hurt someone, you could be sly like the coo coo bird and serve your self and that of your immediate family. It does not matter. When you decide that this is not the kind of human being that you want to be, start working on yourself. Start noticing how other humans mistreat others and try to do the opposite. Do you cut people off in traffic or at the grocery at the check out line? Do you yell at customer service folks because of your impatience and delay of self gratification?
All of these examples are just few of the behaviors that when you display them, you injure the soul of another being. -
Step 3
Don't expect changes within you to take place immediately. Changing yourself is the hardest thing you would have ever attempted to do. Instead, look at yourself as a blank canvas and slowly but masterfully try to paint a picture of yourself which will be worthy of nature's praise.
