Step 1
Focus on the process, not the end result. If you spend all of your time worrying about what the girl's answer will be you will not be able to devote all of your resources to planning. Concentrate on coming up with a unique and thoughtful way to ask her out, and if she likes you the rest will take care of itself.

Spend some time thinking about her interests. You can use them to help you find innovative ways to ask her out. For example, if she is a baseball fan you can find a way to creatively suggest that the two of you go to a game together. She will be impressed that you displayed knowledge of her interests, and more likely to agree to go if it's something she's enjoys doing.

Be different from everyone else. Don't copy something that you see in a movie or on tv, be original and make sure that whatever you plan is one hundred percent you. Girls can smell cheese and manufactured sentiment from miles away so avoid that at all costs.

Don't be too dramatic or over the top. Even though you want to be creative you don't want to freak her out or seem too outlandish with your efforts. Something clever that makes her think and makes you stand out a little bit from the crowd is more than enough.

Make sure that you are genuine with both your attitude and your intentions. Being fake with your intentions or interest to ask a girl out is one of the worst things that you can do and she'll easily be able to spot it. Don't try to put on a fake persona or act like someone other than yourself. Be who you are, maintain genuine interest and intentions, and you will be very happy with the way that things turn out.
