Step 1
One of the best things you can do in choosing a good wine is to taste many different wines and record your thougts. When you write down whether or not you liked the wine, give it a rating, such as one to five. Record the region the wine came from as well. You will soon discover that many of the wines you like, or dislike, are from the same region. Then, you know to choose wines from the region that you like!

Step 2
Shop at a store specialing in wines and then talk to the people who work there. They know wines very well and can make recommendations in many different price ranges. Remember that good doesn't have to be expensive.
-
Step 3
Plan a wine tasting with a group of friends. Each person brings a different wine to taste. This way you can taste a good variety of wines without having to pay for them all! Set a price limit for each bottle so no one is spending too much!
-
Step 4
Search online before you go shopping. The internet is full of top pick wine lists that you can print and take with you as you wine shop.
-
Step 5
Buy your wine from a store that keeps its cool! Wine looses its taste when stored in warm temperatures, typically over 80 degrees so be careful where you shop.
