Make Peanut Butter Candy Without Cooking

Love peanut butter candy but hate having to slave over a hot stove and never take your eyes off your candy for fear of overcooking? Try this!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Stick Butter
  • Vanilla
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Bowls
  • Spoons
  • Knives
  • Plate
  1. Step 1

Take your peanut butter and empty the whole jar into a big bowl. Brand name doesn't matter, I use the cheapest I can find.

  2. Step 2

Add in a cup and half of powdered sugar. Melt one stick of butter in the microwave for a few seconds and pour that in. Then add in a cap full of vanilla. You don't need much of it, it's powerful stuff!

  3. Step 3

Mix all your ingredients together thoroughly. If you still have some excess butter in your mixture add in an extra half cup of powdered sugar and mix again.

  4. Step 4

Once it's mixed your peanut butter should be thick enough to handle with your hands. Take it out of the bowl and put it on the plate, mash it down and spread it out with your hand until it's about an inch high.

  5. Step 5

Refrigerate overnight and then use your knife to cut it into one inch squares! Enjoy! I even think this kind of peanut butter candy tastes better than the cooked kind because it doesn't have the gritty texture.
