Sled riding is a fun thing to do in the winter. You can either make a sled or buy one. There are a few sleds out there like a metal disc sled or a runner sled. I'll teach you how to sled ride.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sled
  • Snow pants
  • Hill
  1. Step 1

First, you need a hill. Cornfields have great rolling hills, but if you can't find one then your yard might work well. Streets can sometimes be great runways, but only use them when conditions are too extreme for cars. Never try a street when its icy and there are cars.

  2. Step 2

Get a sled. Runner sleds are wooden with metal runners on the bottom. Disc sleds are made from metal and work well. Even trash bags can be used as sleds. As long as it slides on snow, you can ride it.

  3. Step 3

Sit on the sled and push with your hands or run and jump onto the sled. Grab the rope to keep control. Have fun!
