Things You'll Need:
- screw driver
- parts tray
- camera or notepad and pencil
- plastic tweezers
- new battery

Step 1
Using a screwdriver push the screw out of the plastic link covering the case back.
The shaft is permanently attached to the watch lug. The rubber holder-link works with 4 case back screws to hold the case back on to the watch. -
Step 2
Using a screwdriver and turning counter clockwise remove the four screws holding the case back onto the watch and put into the parts tray . Very carefully remove the case back taking special care not to disturb the springs that are in the watch. At this point either take a picture of the watch or draw a picture of the movement and where the springs are located. One is a different size so make sure to make a note of this also. This is VERY IMPORTANT as without these springs all the functions will not work.
-
Step 3
Gently remove these springs with your tweezers and put in your parts tray.
-
Step 4
Remove the black cover and then the white cover until you get to the battery compartment.

on 8/24/2009 WARNING: Changing a watch battery requires special tools and knowledge. You can very easily turn your expensive watch into a piece of junk that will need to be repaired by a professional at a much higher cost than the $10.00 it costs to have a battery professionally replaced. Trust me I know. :(
