    Things You'll Need

    • Febreeze
    • Baby powder
    • Baking soda
    • Odor-absorbing tampons
    • Dryer sheets
    • Pantyhose
    • Cat litter
      • 1

Lightly spray a odor-neutralizing spray, such as Febreze, into your shoes every evening after you take them off.

      • 2

Dust the insides of your sneakers with baby powder before putting them on.

      • 3

At night, sprinkle baking soda into each shoe. Use enough so that you will have to shake out the extra powder in the morning.

      • 4

Open two unused odor-absorbing tampons and put one inside each shoe overnight.

      • 5

Place a dryer sheet into each shoe until you are ready to wear them. Use this option for shoes that you pack to travel; the dryer sheets will keep shoe odors from affecting the other items in your suitcase.

      • 6

Cut off the feet from a pair of clean panty hose, and fill each foot with cat litter. Tie the ends securely, and place the cat litter stocking into the shoes to absorb odor and moisture overnight.
