This article will help you learn how to give your cat/kitten a flea bath step by step!

Things You'll Need:

  • Bathtub/sink
  • Flea shampoo
  • Cup
  • Cat/kitten
  • Brush
  1. Step 1

    First off check your cat for signs of fleas by brushing her fur or irritable itching.

  2. Step 2

    After you know your cat/kitten has fleas make sure you are wearing appropriate clothing to do the following procedures.

  3. Step 3

    Get the tub filled with water according to the cat/kitten's size. When doing this make sure the cat is not around so it doesn't get frightened of the water.

  4. Step 4

    Brush the cat removing knots and excessive fur.

  5. Step 5

    Lather the cat/kitten in flea shampoo of choice that is best for your cat. Make sure while lathering to avoid the cat/kitten's face.

  6. Step 6

    Rinse the cat using a cup and water and gently pour the water over your cat. Make sure you remove all the shampoo from your cat/kitten's fur.

  7. Step 7

    Lastly, towel-dry your cat/kitten and when finished your cat will clean itself up and your done!

Tips & Warnings
  • Cats temperatures are higher than humans so what may seem warm to us can seem cold to them.
  • Playing in the bath with your cat may get them to enjoy baths alot more.
  • Don't shampoo a cats face it may damage their eyes.
