  • For as long as you can bear it, eat only green vegetables with very few calories. You can eat them raw, bake them, sautee them, or blend them into a vegetable smoothie. But you cannot put any type of seasoning on them. Eat only green vegetables for as long as it takes to lose the weight you want.

  • Celery, lettuce, spinach and broccoli are your best bets. Whatever you do, stay away from all starchy vegetables (potatoes, squash and corn will not help you lose weight).

  • Drink as much water as you can. Drink water before, during and after all meals.

  • Exercise as much as you can daily, but at least 45 minutes of aerobics is best.

  • Following this diet, you should be able to lose at least a pound per day.
