How to Make Cherry Jello Shots

Cherry Jello shots are party staples that take a couple of hours to set. They have to be made a few hours before you intend to use them. This recipe should make about 16 shots. The shots look like a dessert, but they are full of alcohol and must be consumed with caution. Does this Spark an idea?

6 oz. cherry Jell-o
16 oz. boiling water
6 oz.cold water
6 oz. vodka

Instructions

  Mix the gelatin powder with the boiling water in a large bowl until the powder is fully dissolved. This usually takes about 1 minute.

  Pour in the cold water and stir for 30 seconds.

  Pour in the vodka and mix well.

  Pour the shots into paper cups for individual servings, or pour the entire mix into a cake pan. Refrigerate the mix for 2 to 3 hours. If you use the cake pan, cut the Jell-o into squares and place them on a plate. If you use plastic cups, have plastic knives available so people can loosen the Jell-o from the sides of the cups.
