How to Do Chocolate Printing
Its obvious delicious qualities aside, chocolate also is an easy and versatile medium in which to create molds, decorations and designs. Properly prepared, chocolate can be used to print words of congratulations, celebration, encouragement or whatever you can imagine. Things You'll Need
- Double boiler
- 2 cups milk, dark, white or colored chocolate melting wafers
- 4 tsp. vegetable oil
- Writing bottle or pastry bag
- Plate or cookie sheet

Fill the bottom pot of your double boiler 3/4 full with water. Heat on low to medium until the water simmers. Place the top pot on the bottom pot.

Pour the melted mixture into a writing bottle or pastry bag. If you use a pastry bag, choose a plain pastry bag tip with a narrow opening.

Test your printing on a plate or a cookie sheet. With a few minutes of practice, you can get "warmed up" and make sure your chocolate is a workable consistency.

Start printing. Gently squeeze your writing bottle or pastry bag. Taking your time, slowly print what you desire on your confection. Wait until the chocolate printing has dried before you refrigerate or cover your creation.

Tips & Warnings
Chocolate melting wafers, writing bottles and pastry bags can be purchased at your local craft store or on the Internet. Practice. Before you start printing on your confection, sharpen your skills by practicing a few times on a large plate or cookie sheet.
