How to Buy Stock in Quebecor World
Quebecor World Inc. emerged from bankruptcy in July, 2009. The bankruptcy nullified all previous shares that traded under the symbol "IQW" on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Since emerging from bankruptcy, the company has changed its name to World Color Press and is planning to issue warrants to creditors that were not paid off during the bankruptcy. These shares will trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol "WC." The warrants will be available to purchase after they are floated on the exchange.

Get a broker that allows for trades on Canadian markets. Your broker may either be an online brokerage account or a financial adviser. Before opening the account, ask your broker if they allow customers to purchase shares on Canadian exchanges. If they do not, look elsewhere for a broker.

Wait for the IPO. Keep an eye on the paper for when World Color Press news. The company is planning on going public again through an issuance of warrants to creditors. However, that may not happen in the near future.

Place your order. If you are using an online broker, navigate to the buy stocks page and enter the symbol "WC" (you may need the suffix TO for some brokerages), the amount of shares you wish to purchase, and whether the order will have special conditions or price limits to it. Then, press the confirm button. If you are using a local financial adviser, tell him that you want to purchase World Color Press, symbol "WC" from the Toronto Stock Exchange. He'll put together the order for you.

Get the confirmation. Once you buy the shares, wait for your broker to send you a confirmation. The confirmation will explain how many shares you have purchased, when they were purchased, and at what price. If you did not receive a confirmation, the trade may have failed.
