Things You'll Need:
- Computer (Windows OS)
- PE-DESIGN Lite software
- PES files
- Optional – Brother embroidery machine
-
Step 1
With your text entered, use the Select Object tool to select the text object and move it into a visually appealing location.
-
Step 2
To change the font, make sure the text object is still selected, then use the drop down menu for font options.
Note that text entry is case sensitive. Some fonts in PE-DESIGN Lite allow upper and lower case. Some fonts, however, are limited by case, numbers and other characters. You may need to enter text in all upper case to use certain fonts. -
Step 3
To change the font size, select the text object, then use the drop down menu for font size options.
You can enter font sizes other than those listed in the drop down menu. Type the preferred font size (in millimeters) and press the Enter key on your keyboard to apply the font size setting. -
Step 4
To curve or arch text, make sure the text object is selected, then select the Text Layout tool and choose an arch representation (direction).
Note that you can use the slider to adjust the curve intensity and direction even more. You can also use the lower slider to adjust the distance between letters. -
Step 5
Save the modified machine embroidery file for future reference and/or write the pattern to your memory card for use on your embroidery machine.
