Things You'll Need:
- 4-foot level
- Pliers
- Flat-head screwdriver

Step 1
Disconnect the power to the dryer outlet by turning it off at the circuit breaker box.

Position the dryer into the general vicinity of its permanent location. Leave enough room behind the dryer for you to work.

Check to see if the dryer is level by placing a 4-foot level on top. Adjust the legs as necessary using a pair of pliers to thread them in or out.

Step 4
Attach the exhaust duct to the exhaust port on the dryer. Use a flat-head screwdriver to tighten the hose clamp around the end of the duct work.

Step 5
Attach the other end of duct work to the dryer vent on the wall. Tighten the hose clamp around the connection using a flat-head screwdriver.

Step 6
Plug the dryer power cord into the dryer outlet.

Step 7
Push the dryer carefully into its permanent position. Check behind the dryer to make sure the duct work is not kinked.

Step 8
Turn the power on to the dryer outlet at the circuit breaker box.
