Check website listings on Craigslist or eBay for used phones, because people may want to sell their Alltel phone if they switch mobile providers or upgrade to Verizon equipment.

Launch your browser and type "support.vzw.com/alltel/index.html" in your browser's address bar; press the "Return" key. Click the "My Verizon" link to access a login page or to register for online account access.
Type your Alltel account number or mobile number and website PIN in the corresponding fields. -

Click the tab for "My Services" and click the link "Upgrade" below the picture of your cell phone. Check the phone number and click the button "Show Upgrade Discounts" for upgrade options and discounts.

Click the "Select" button next to your desired phone, select the services to activate and click the "Select and continue" button to initiate a purchase. Review the details of the purchase and if needed, provide a credit card for billing equipment charges. Click the "Confirm" to authorize the purchase.
