How to Detect Mold in Carpet

Mold can be an dangerous contaminant and must be removed as soon as possible after detection by certified professionals.       Use the hammer or pry bar to pull up the carpet in the corners to visually inspect for mold.

      Use the hammer or pry bar to pull up the corners of the carpet pad to inspect for mold.

    • 3

      Press the pad and carpet back into place after inspection. Call a mold specialist if mold is visible.

    • 4

      Test the air in each carpeted room, along with the outward air flow from each air vent with the mold testing kit.
