How to Install Pro Tools 7.4

Pro Tools 7.4 is the latest version of the state of the art audio mixing and recording program. Crafted by DigiDesign under the parent company Avid, Pro Tools is an industry standard software used by sound designers for movies and producers for music. The product is available for home use, and can be purchased through the Pro Tools website.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Insert the Pro Tools version 7.4 installation disc into the computer. The installation wizard will launch.

  2. Step 2

    Select an installation language. The license agreement will load. Read through it and agree to the terms. You will not be allowed to install Pro Tools 7.4 without agreeing.

  3. Step 3

    Follow the prompts until you reach the serial number input. This number can be found both on the inside of the installation disc's case and on a white cardboard insert which came in the software's box. Type the number into the installation wizard and continue the installation.

  4. Step 4

    Finish following the steps of the installation wizard, and Pro Tools 7.4 will be installed. Restart the computer and the installation will be complete.

Tips & Warnings
  • For those users who already have Pro Tools installed on the computer, you will be notified by email about the downloadable update. When you download the file, it will install itself onto the computer, and may require you to restart the system once it has completed.
